   The concept for Tea n' Crumpets began in a small bake shop in Rehoboth Beach when two friends were chatting about how to make a more interesting store display

while selling cupcakes, croissants, and coffee.

The owner of the shop had a vision of a product line

that tied confections and baking to the home while being

visually appealing to her customers. From this idea, the first Retro Cupcakes apron was sewn and went on display in the bake shop along with other patisserie-based apron designs.

   Customers responded to the aprons and began to ask for custom designs. The owner of the bake shop loved the idea and created her entire marketing campaign for her store based on one of the polka dot apron designs. Spinning off the polka dot design, tea towels, potholders, and napkins were produced to coordinate with the apron. Soon after, more products were added including placemats and coasters. The success of creating home products to coordinate with designer kitchen and dining interiors launched

Tea n' Crumpets--now a separate line of custom and hand-made aprons, pot holders, placemats, coasters, napkins, tablecloths, and tea towels.
